These simple hacks helped me out in my weight loss journey.
1. Use small platter instead of the bigger one. Brain knows to stop eating when the platter is over.
2. Divide your meal into two, take the other one after sometime. This trick will satisfy your hunger for extra hours.
3. Turn off gadgets & screens during your meal time, focus on the amount of food you are eating, distracted dining can lead to overeating.
4. Drink water at-least 20-30 minutes before you take your food. Drinking water can boost metabolism by 24-30% over a period of 1-1.5 hours, help you burn off a few more calories. Drink half a liter before half an hour of your meal & you will automatically feel full & will eat fewer calories as you normally eat.
5. Try to avoid drinking tea & coffee in your breakfast, if you really can’t skip that then add a ginger to your tea. Consuming ginger reduce the feeling of hunger & help you burn calories.
6. Take small bites & chew more. This will help you digest properly & satisfy your hunger soon.
7. Take a good amount of sleep & turn into your bed early. Studies have shown that very little sleep is related to excess weight. Sleep helps to fight cravings. Poor sleep can also decrease your resting metabolism.
8. Eat baked crisps over fried ones, it doesn’t mean you can eat as much as you like. Just because the fat has been reduced, it doesn’t mean it is low in fat, salt or sugar, so you will need to keep an eye on the portion size. Eat small amount while biting small pieces, avoid eating the whole crisp slice at once. This trick will satisfy you in less quantity. Reduce the quantity of crisps gradually.
9. Replace crisps with hand made pop corns without flavorings & oil.
10. Take healthy fats like almonds, peanuts, walnuts, cashews, avocados, coconut, fish & olives, because fat is also very important to function body smoothly. Fats are essential to give your body energy and to support cell growth.
11. Try to walk daily. Go for a nature walk if possible. Walking is one of the best alternative to workout. Walk for your necessities to the shop which is at distance. Use stair case over lift.
12. Prepare your meal by yourself instead of ordering it online. I am sure you are going to choose an healthy option when you prepare it yourself.
